President Biden arrived in Washington, D.C., not on a U.S. Air Force plane, but on a chartered private jet before his inauguration.

The Boeing business jet 737 flew Biden from Delaware Newcastle Airport to Andrews Air Force Base on Tuesday, after being elected the then president in stylish and luxury in the nation’s capital, the plane is usually reserved for the upper moon of private flyers. Biden used the same but less luxurious 737 on the campaign trail after initially turning one down.

California Jet Edge operates a private jet from International Airliner, complete with a master bedroom and onboard shower in the flying penthouse apartment. The aircraft is ideal for intercontinental flight because its features allow it to be a true home away from home.

Biden only used the jet for a quick 78-nautical mile hop because security prevented the president’s preferred mode of transport between the two cities, Amtrak. It was probably his last flight in that plane as he would have access to a full fleet of luxury military planes and helicopters to transport him where he was supposed to go.

And now when the 7 737 will no longer be used by the President, the aircraft can be chartered by anyone who can afford the high cost. There are potentially thousands of dollars in hours alone on a jet.
