Liverpool gives Jurgen Klopp what he asked for as the image reflects a glorious year of dominance at Anfield

It didn’t take long for Jurgen Klopp to get his wish.

The Liverpool manager was a moment withdrawn from lifting the Premier League title, the club’s first championship since 1990, on Wednesday night, when he reiterated a special request made the day before.

“Then it’s true,” said Klopp. “We are champions of Europe, of England in the world. I know what it sounds like but it is the truth. It is incredible to be honest.”

“We won four trophies, big ones, and I couldn’t be prouder. I’m not usually a person who needs a photo of something. As long as I can remember it, it’s worth it. If not, then so am I.” old.

“But I will have a photo with all four trophies because it doesn’t happen too often. So we have to make sure we have this photo. But we won’t stop.”

At his pre-game press conference to anticipate Chelsea’s visit, the Reds coach made a similar statement.

Clearly interested in ensuring that the 13-month-old images packed with hits and trophies become part of Anfield folklore, Klopp said: “At the time, when I talked about the past 13 or 14 months, it was without a doubt the most exceptional and successful year of my career

“So being champion of Europe, England and the world doesn’t happen too often.”

“So I think it makes sense for us to take a photo with all four trophies because I don’t think there are many photos where a club has all four trophies. We will do it 100% and rightly so.”

Less than 24 hours after the title was elevated at Anfield, Klopp’s request was honored by the club.

They appeared on social media on Thursday morning, for the first time, trophies from the UEFA Super Cup, the Premier League, the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup, side by side.

Brilliant success. Tangible proof of an incredible period under Klopp.

Klopp and his team will undoubtedly have a chance to pose with the trophy quartet later this year before the new season in scenes that will evoke memories of Bob Paisley and his handful of pots alongside copious amounts of Bells Whiskey in 1981.

For now, however, Klopp can see this image as proof of his historic exploits in Merseyside.
