5 out of 10 who reached the semi-finals will travel to the final. After today’s semifinal, summing up the votes of the commission and the public, it was clear that Gebrasy, Martyna, Evita Cololo, Voldemars Petersons and Titas and Ben will continue the fight in the competition.

The Roop will also compete in the final, which will immediately receive a spot in this year’s playoffs.

“On Saturday, the semi-final viewers will hear not only ten songs of various sounds, but also artists, many of whom, I believe, have become a discovery for many in this year’s Eurovision selection. I would like to be happy that nine out of ten songs in the semi-final selection were written by Lithuanian composers.

I would also like to thank all the performers, composers and authors of the lyrics: preparing the selection of “Eurovision” under quarantine conditions is a real challenge. Many artists improved their performances before the semi-finals and we will see new solutions on stage. I have no doubt that many of the songs featured in this year’s selection will continue to be heard strongly on the airwaves, ”said music critic Ramūnas Zilnys.

Viewers could vote for the song they liked the most by calling or sending short messages to the phone number 1669 (the price of a call or message is 0.60 euros). The organizers of the national team recall that a maximum of five votes can be cast from a mobile phone number at night. Part of the funds raised for spectator calls and short messages will go to the artist or group that won the national team.

In order not to encourage telephone voting contests, the results of the spectator voting will also be announced only at the end of the show. The voting of the audience was observed during all the broadcasts of the national team by independent observers, representatives of the audit firm Grant Thornton Baltic.

Which of them will represent Lithuania at the Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place from May 18 to 22 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and will be announced on February 6 during the national team final. This year, given the dynamic situation of the pandemic, several Eurovision scenarios are planned.

Due to the pandemic, also the national team “Let’s try again!” is carried out in accordance with safety requirements: filming is done without spectators, meetings of participants are restricted, the commission is filmed in a separate studio.
