Kartu Ch. Michel announced that the fight would go to Ukraine and Sakartvel to express their support for both countries to achieve sovereignty and territorial integrity. This was announced by its spokesperson on Tuesday.

“Charles Michel expresses his confidence in High Representative Joseph Borrell,” the spokesman said.

Borrell was criticized after a trip to Russia last week for failing to oppose Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who has harshly criticized the EU. Ch. Michel’s spokesman said: “The aggressive behavior of Russia during the High Representative’s visit shows that Russia is not interested in dialogue, even on issues that are important to mutual or global interests.”

Ch. Michel condemned the expulsion of three EU diplomats from Russia. “The EU will not be intimidated,” he said on behalf of the EVS president. This is expected to put discussions on the EU’s relations with Russia on the Council of Europe’s agenda.
