Turto bankas has announced a tender for the temporary lease of the Lukiškės prison complex, which it took over this week. It is planned to rent the complex for two years with the possibility of extending the lease term. The initial market rental price of the complex, determined by independent property appraisers, is 0.97 euros per square meter, not including value added tax (VAT). Applications are invited until March 8.
“We have constantly prepared for the acquisition and future development of this facility. After a market consultation in early January, we are convinced that despite Covid19, interest in renting this property remains and market participants see many opportunities for it to become a vibrant and public part of the city. Therefore, as soon as we complete the procurement procedures, we will announce a lease tender. Our goal is to select a tenant until such time as the restrictions related to Covid19 are released and the complex can be opened to the public ”, expects Mindaugas Sinkevičius, director of Turto bankas.
The winner of the tender will be the participant who meets the qualification requirements and offers the highest rental price.
The qualification requirements stipulate that the tenderer must have experience in the management of non-residential premises, that is, have managed, used or administered at least 4,000 m2 during the last two years. m area of non-residential premises.
The contest is organized in order to open this cultural heritage object to the public as soon as possible, so that the participants of the contest are obliged to present a plan of planned activities. The complex will be able to carry out educational, cultural, artistic, scientific and other activities. The tenant must also maintain the complex and preserve the valuable features of the buildings. The Lukiškės prison complex is temporarily rented until it is ready for long-term management.
