The Montuotojas company, which has a factory in Alytus, concluded new contracts for 18 million at the beginning of this year. The euro plans to continue modernizing its productive capacity and is preparing for international expansion.
In recent years, the activities of Montuotojas, one of the largest metal processing and industrial construction companies in Lithuania, have been concentrated in the production bases operating in Alytus, Klaipėda and Panevėžys, where a total of almost half a thousand work of employees.
“In order to achieve greater efficiency and competitive advantage not only in Lithuania, but also in foreign markets, last year we modernized the company’s plant in Alytus and re-planned the plant in Klaipeda”, says Martynas Pargaliauskas, General Manager of Montuotojo . According to him, production is modernized in a complex way: this process includes not only the renewal of equipment, the installation of new equipment, the change of production management processes, the improvement of working conditions for specialists, but also the redistribution of work between divisions of the company. .
Currently, the Alytus plant manufactures tanks, building structures, bridge segments and industrial chimneys and employs about 40 people, but in total, the Montuotoji company employs about 100 people in the capital of Dzūkija. Some of the work for the residents of Alytus moved from the base, which previously operated at the Vilnius metal construction factory.
According to M. Pargaliauskas, part of the administrative functions of “Montuotojas” is concentrated in the Alytus Industrial District, an important department of energy projects is located, so the company’s activities in the city are not limited to production.
“We also look at our branch in Alytus as a center of competence,” emphasized the headline of “Montuotojo” to the news portal Alytausgido.lt. The Alytus factory, located at Pramonės str. On October 23, the company’s welding training class was inaugurated last year: here the tests and qualification of all specialists are carried out, who then continue their work not only at Alytus, but also at the Klaipėda bases and Panevėžys.
According to the manager, the number of employees of the Montuotojo company in Alytus did not change last year, the changes were related to the modernization of production, changes in internal processes and improvement of working conditions.
The total amount of Montuotoji’s investments in the resumption of production in the capital of Dzūkija amounted to almost one million euros. According to M. Pargaliauskas, all this has led to significantly higher operational efficiency, even better quality, which will allow to achieve even better results in the future.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic, this year the number of new construction contracts concluded by the Installer with clients already exceeds 70%. Last year’s turnover, it is true, last year’s turnover was 24.2 million. 44.7 million euros a year earlier. EUR.
Currently, the largest international project implemented by Montuotojo is the installation of a gas turbine air intake system at the Siemens power plant under construction in France. “This year, our engineering teams face a truly exceptional professional challenge. At the beginning of the year, we signed a contract for the implementation of the largest and most complex project in the history of our company for more than half a century. Although we still cannot reveal his client, this agreement is a recognition of the professionalism of our specialists, which is why we have already started working with great enthusiasm ”, says M. Pargaliauskas.
