Another case of COVID-19 disease has been recorded in the Kaunas Žalgiris team. Lukas Lekavičius, who had contact with a sick person, followed the self-isolation regime since Tuesday, and the COVID-19 test conducted on Friday returned a positive response.

Lekavičius parted ways with other Žalgiris on Tuesday and did not play in the Betsafe – LKL match with Kėdainiai “Nevėžis-Optibet”. Tuesday’s test was negative, but by Thursday Luke already felt the symptoms attributed to COVID-19.
Žalgiris’ Steve Vasturia, who has been in contact with a sick person outside the team, has also been in self-isolation since Wednesday. Vasturia COVID-19 doesn’t feel any symptoms, her test result on Friday is negative.
All other members of the Žalgiris team preparing for Saturday’s LKL match also received negative responses.
Marekas Blaževičius has already returned to the team’s lineup.
Lekavičius registers statistics of 7.5 points, 2.4 assists and 8.7 utility points during 23 Euroleague games this season.
In the LKL championship, the player accumulates 9.8 points, 3.1 effective passes and 11 utility points.
