According to LVŽS, the Minister creates preconditions to evaluate his actions in an ambiguous way and his public speeches give the impression that the Minister represents the interests of the State.
On Friday, Ramūnas Karbauskis, president of LVŽS, and Aušrinė Norkienė, elder of the LVŽS faction in the Seimas, addressed President Gitanas Nausėdas, Prime Minister Ingrid Šimonytė and the Attorney General in relation to Minister of the Environment S. Gentvilas.
ELTA recalls that the Minister of the Environment S. Gentvilas announced some time ago that he had signed an order to change the structure of the Department of Environmental Protection (AAD).
He stated that the AAD management team was not formed through competitions, at that time competitions for ordinary inspectors were announced and more than 70 vacancies were filled.
According to the AAD, all officials and employees working in the department were admitted in accordance with the procedure established by law.
