The director of a real estate developer is accused of causing damages to the creditors amounting to almost half a million euros and the dishonesty of the debtor. The pre-trial investigation carried out by the Vilnius Regional Board of the Financial Crimes Investigation Service was transferred to the court by decision of the Vilnius Regional Prosecutor, who led it, according to a press release from the FNTT.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the director of a company that had built a private house in Vilnius, when the company found itself on the brink of bankruptcy, may have failed to comply with the established order of agreements with creditors and caused damage to remaining creditors. euros.
According to the investigation, the director of the company, seeing the terrible financial situation of the company, continued with its activities, but ended the agreements with the State Tax Inspectorate (STI), the Municipal Administration of the City of Vilnius and Sodra.
It has been said that in the past an attempt was made to settle accounts with suppliers for the goods and services provided in order to continue with the real estate project under development.
It is alleged that in this way the ranking of creditors was violated, since the claims of several lower-ranking creditors were addressed, paying almost 430 thousand in various installments. euros.
During the pre-trial investigation, the director of the private house assured that the company he managed had not been financially successful since its inception, and in 2018, as market needs changed, the situation began to deteriorate, so the director made such a decision.
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Prosecutor of the 3rd Prosecution Division of the Vilnius Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
