We have not seen such images for many years: a snowstorm and heavy snow paralyze Lithuania

Snow continues in Lithuania, so the Highway Administration warns that difficult weather conditions will not change yet, so we need to be more careful, especially on the country’s roads. Pavement areas of main roads with wet or collapsed snow tracks, roads of less traffic areas with packed snow, places with loose snow cover up to 20 centimeters. Drivers are asked to take into account the condition of the road surface and to choose a safe speed instead of the maximum speed limit and to maintain a higher than normal safety distance.

On the night of January 27, heavy snow on the northeast side, blizzard in many places. The snow will weaken during the day. Wind from northwest, west, 9–14 m / s, morning gusts of 15–19 m / s in many places. Night temperature from 3 degrees cold to 2 degrees heat, during the day from 1 degree cold to 2 degrees heat.

January 28 snow in some places. Night west wind, 4-9 m / s, weak during the day. Temperature at night 3-8, in places up to 12 degrees cold, during the day from 4 degrees cold to 1 degree heat.

January 29 snow in some places. Mainly north wind, 4-9 m / s. Temperature at night from 5 to 10 degrees, in places up to 14 degrees cold, during the day from 1 to 6 degrees cold.

January 30 snow in some places. At night somewhere in the fog. Variable wind direction, 3-8 m / s. Temperature at night 8-13, in places up to 18, on the seashore 5-7 degrees cold, during the day 2-7 degrees cold.
