According to the publication, this is the first case of dismissal of workers for refusing to receive the Covid-19 vaccine, although vaccination in Germany is voluntary. Following the dismissal of the company’s employees in Dessau-Roslau (Saxony-Anhalt), its manager, Rene Willmer, receives threats from opponents of vaccination to kill him, the newspaper writes.

Wilmer demanded that his staff be vaccinated against the coronavirus as soon as the vaccine is received. Caregivers of the disabled and elderly belong to the first priority group of VFR citizens to which it is attached. Three workers refused to be vaccinated, four more hesitated. The head of the company gave them two days to decide, but the employees did not get vaccinated anyway, they were fired.

“I do everything possible to protect our patients. That is my moral duty, ”Wilmer said.

Vaccination against the coronavirus in Germany started in late December.
