The president emphasized that mutual prospects have not been fully exploited in the areas of innovation and economic cooperation. Lithuania and Switzerland also see the importance of fighting climate change equally, and given Switzerland’s experience in the green energy sector, according to the president, every effort should be made to intensify cooperation to achieve ambitious goals in the field. of climate change, “the report said.
According to the Presidency, Lithuania is taking important steps to combat climate change by receiving up to a quarter of its energy from renewable sources and supporting the EU goal of reducing carbon emissions by 55% by 2030, while ensuring the competitiveness of the economy and industry.
The Swiss Parliament is made up of two chambers: the National Council with 200 deputies and the Cantonal Council, made up of two people from each canton.
