“We have lived in England for many years, but it is time for a change. We decided to change the environment, we wanted a better climate and today we are very satisfied with that.”

Tenerife is a great place! We live far from tourists, in a small town by the sea, there is peace, a great climate, so we are very happy ”, laughs D.Veličkienė.

15min TO LIFE He says that the cabins, in which he now lives and rents to tourists, were bought from a family who used to want to have boats in them, so the cabins functioned as a warehouse. The cabins were later converted into vacation homes, but did not become permanent residents.

However, when the huts were found in the hands of Donata and her husband Gediminas, it was as if they had risen again and today they admire their interior. A family with a total of three cabins radically renovated them. “We try to do everything with our own hands, minimal costs and expenses and renew old things, resurrect them to a new life,” says the interlocutor.

I have never learned the secrets of the inside, but I do everything from the heart and the way I feel.

She says that the name of the first house, “Old Fisherman’s House Neo”, comes from the fact that the man from whom they bought the houses was called Neo. “That note was also left on the door, which we keep. We live in this house for a while while we repair others, ”says D.Veličkienė.

In the past, all the cabins were dominated by dark tones, dreary colors, so they did not have the spirit of the spa, the sun and the sea, which is especially bright in the renovated cabins today.

In the first house of “Fisherman’s Neo” (40 m2) is now dominated by white and blue colors, naturalness, ropes and other details alluding to the sea and recreation.

In the second house called “Cactus”, where bright, fun green hues and interior details predominate, and the name comes from the fact that from the outside the cabin looks prickly.

“I never learned the secrets of the inside, but I do everything from the heart and the way I feel. I am a master of all ends (laughs). My husband is a former builder, so he also helps implement various ideas, ”says D.Veličkienė. He adds that when renovating the cabins, he first came up with a theme that he tried to carry out, adapt to each cabin and preserve the greatest possible authenticity in them.

The third cabin, which together with the terrace is industrial style, and its surface is also about 40 square meters. subway. Special reinforcements had to be made there, and a considerable amount of authenticity remained.

“My heart is as natural as possible, so I like to use it indoors as well. By the way, in England we also had to renovate more than one cottage, let’s say we made a living room with a garage. I’m kidding we’re like tiny home remodelers, ”says Donata.

Today, the family lives in the third cabin on the seashore – they enjoy not only the view through the window, but also the created interior.

We invite you to take a look at the renovated cabins!
