Last minute decision: Žalgiris and Chimki matches – Euroleague postponed

Two Chimki players, Greg Monroe and Maxim Barashkov, tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.

Immediately afterwards, the entire Chimki team repeated the coronavirus tests, but did not manage to get their results until the evening game. They are expected to arrive on Saturday morning.

The meeting between Žalgiris and Chimki has been postponed to Saturday and will start at 8pm.

Žalgiriai’s duel with the club R. Kurtinaitis was to take place on Friday at 8:00 p.m. The decision was made less than three hours before the start of the match.

Team Žalgiris will hold a training session on Friday instead of the match.

In total, five children from Rimas Kurtinaitis were infected with coronavirus: Janis Timma, Jordan Mickey and Jevgenijus Voronovas.

Last minute changes, just before the double week of the Euroleague. Next week, the people of Žalgiris will play Crvena zvezda in Belgrade on Tuesday and at home with Anadolu Efes in Istanbul on Thursday.
