Confusion continues in the Euroleague due to the coronavirus, which also affects Kaunas “Žalgiris”.

The fact that the cases were detected in both the Žalgiris and Chimki teams in the Moscow region, the match will be postponed due to the delayed responses of the re-investigation, was officially announced by the team trained by Rimas Kurtinaitis.

On Friday, instead of the match, the people of Žalgiris will hold another training session at the Mytiščiai Arena, Žalgiris writes.

This is because Chimki had to be tested again, after Greg Monroe and Maxim Barashkov diagnosed them with the virus.

It is not possible to get coronavirus test results until Friday’s game, so the game will be postponed to Saturday at 8pm.

We remind you that in Žalgiris a case of coronavirus was found diagnosed in Joffrey Lauvergne, although his test had to be repeated on Friday.

Chimki did not have Janis Timma, Yevgeny Voronov and Jordan Mickey in the last United League game due to the coronavirus, and Errick McCollum remains in quarantine after arriving in Russia. Stefan Jovičius and Aleksejus Švedas continue to receive treatment for injuries, although the latter’s appearance on the pitch remains likely.

By the way, it is not the first time that the date of the match has been adjusted minimally: the confrontation between Barcelona and Zenit in Saint Petersburg has been moved from Thursday to Friday.
