The Zenit Saint Petersburg team, represented by Artūras Gudaitis, agreed to postpone the Euroleague match with Barcelona from Thursday to Friday.
The gesture of the Russian team fascinated the Barça club, which was in an emergency situation, and offered to return the money: buy 500 tickets for the match.
Barcelona offered to use the tickets purchased in one of the following ways: put a Barcelona jersey on 500 seats; distribute tickets to local Barcelona fans; leave all seats unoccupied and name the sector as “fans of the guest team” who, of course, cannot come to Russia.
Zenit had the right to refuse to postpone the match and take advantage of the confusion in the Barcelona field caused by a coronavirus diagnosed to Šarūnas Jasikevičius, Darius Maskoliūnas and another anonymous member of the team.
