According to Biden, “he is looking forward to participating in the debate with him”, but “very strict recommendations will have to be followed.”
The Democratic candidate said he was unaware of Trump’s status when he returned to the White House on Monday from Walter Reed’s military hospital, where he was treated for COVID-19 for three days.
“I think if you still have COVID, we shouldn’t have a debate,” Biden told reporters as he boarded the Heigerstaune in Maryland on his way back to Delaware.
The second televised debate between Trump and Biden is scheduled for October 15 and the third on October 22. The election will take place on November 3
Biden’s campaign reported negative results on its coronavirus test early Tuesday.
Trump said Tuesday that he was feeling great and that he looked forward to participating in the debate with Biden scheduled for October 15.
