On Monday, Lithuania and Poland invited their ambassadors to the consultations from Minsk.
Last Friday, Anatoly Glaz, spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry (MFA), said that Minsk had been in office since October 5. he recalled his ambassadors in Poland and Lithuania for consultations and suggested that Warsaw and Vilnius do the same.

Furthermore, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry recommends that Poland and Lithuania reduce the number of their diplomats from 50 to 18 and from 25 to 14, respectively, due to the “manifestly destructive” activities of these countries.
For his part, Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius declared on Friday that Lithuania will not reduce the number of employees at the Belarusian embassy. She considered that this declaration by Belarus could be a “desire for a split”, since only two embassies were identified in Belarus, Poland and Lithuania.
