The intriguing start to the Citadele King Mindaugas Cup (KMT) was recorded in the fight between Kaunas “Žalgiris-2” and Prienai “Cbet”. The youngsters from “Žalgiris”, playing at home, landed their opponents only after a fierce fight – 84:87 (25:16, 13:26, 29:19, 17:26).

Vitalijus Kozys received a technical foul, but two of Regimantas Miniotas’ three free throws flew past, and K.Babušis dribbled with a 3-pointer from a foul, and in another attack surpassed the result: 82:81. The exchange of effective attacks resulted in the fact that 1.4 seconds later Žalgiris’ team could still break the boards, but did not prepare a successful attack.
