Martynas Kazlauskas, director of the Botanical Garden, said that this carriage is not only attractive, but also very practical. “Solar collectors are installed on the roof of the wagon, which produces energy and visitors to the garden can charge their mobile devices here,” said the director.

He also added that the “car” is a prototype mobile power and charging station. The main function of the mobile station is to charge residents’ mobile devices, scooters or supply electricity to a small electrical outlet during the summer. The idea was funded by the municipality of Šiauliai city within the framework of the INOSTART project program in 2019. Authors and implementers of the idea Siauliai University professor dr. Dainius Balbonas, student Valentas Jankauskas and IĮ owner Andrius Piguliavičius read in a press release.
