Gailutė Smagriūnienė, Chief Specialist of the Communications Subdivision of the Šiauliai County Main Police Station, said that police officers are currently correcting the information:
“Officials are collecting material on the violence of the young man against his elder and on the Internet the call for violence to beat a young man suspected of a crime. The personality of the teenager is known, he is 15 years old. In the comments below the video, his name and place of residence were indicated.
The young man’s mother, frightened by a possible confrontation, approached the police with a statement. The woman asked for help. According to the mother, this event was four years ago. It was filmed by his son’s friend, who encouraged him to do so. Now the friends got angry and the young man distributed the images on Facebook using the account of a stranger.
So far, the police do not know exactly when the violence occurred. The circumstances are being clarified. The pre-trial investigation has yet to begin, material is being collected.
