Zbignevas Jedinskis, a member of the Lithuanian Polish Electoral Action Union of Christian Families (LLRA-KŠS), intends to submit to the Seimas on Thursday a draft amendment to the new version of the Single Payment of Pensions and Benefits Act of the Social Security.

The authors of the bill believe that if passed, older people would have the opportunity to spend extra money on a larger Christmas and Christmas festive table, that is, for domestic consumption, so the money would certainly go back to the budget state otherwise.

Vanda Kravčionok, the senior of the LLRA-KŠS faction in the Seimas, and Z. Jedinskis, a member of the faction, say that this supplementary annex model also works successfully in other countries, in Greece, Spain and Poland.

After evaluating the project, the Legal Department of the Seimas Chancellery considers that at the same time a draft reform to the Law for the Approval of Financial Indicators of the State Budget and Municipal Budgets for 2020 should be presented. The prime minister stressed that the amount needed for this step is not small, but the situation with the public debt is under control.
