“We see huge potential (Belarus – BNS) in terms of human resources. Here, our biggest competitors are Warsaw and Kiev, and the Latvian government has also become very active in this matter,” says Rolandas Valiūnas, chairman of the board. of the Association of the Investor Forum.

BNS recalls that the Lithuanian government approved on Wednesday that new companies from Belarus and other third countries open savings accounts not only in Lithuanian banks, but also in electronic money institutions.

The Ministry of Economy and Innovation says this is intended to attract information technology (IT) companies and other high-tech companies from third countries, including Belarus, which is in crisis.

If approved by the Seimas, the amendments to the Law on Companies, Public Institutions and Commercial Societies would come into effect in November.

On Wednesday, the Cabinet of Ministers facilitated opportunities for highly qualified specialists from abroad, as well as professors and researchers to come to Lithuania.
