In an announcement to the media, Pigu.lt, along with interior designer Dace Stabulniece, share tips on how to create a “premium” class atmosphere in your home.
What is a premium interior?
The interior designer says that premium products stand out with special features that are created or used by people with unique tastes and lifestyles. There is no single premium class standard – the design and technological solutions of such furniture differ from mass-produced products. This creates a unique and exclusive range.
Today, premium products are often associated with higher prices for consumers, but it is important to pay attention to what constitutes a “price” and whether these products are actually more expensive in the end.
First of all, the price is influenced by the high-quality design and characteristics of the product. These products are always made with quality materials, mainly raw materials of natural origin: wood, stone, metal, leather, crystals, textiles.
Today’s innovations allow the application of modern solutions and the development of new materials using recycling technologies, such as plastic, artificial stone, various forms of glass and other secondary raw materials. Second, these products often pass the “fashion test” and last a long time.

Modern homes = quality and sustainability?
Modern homes are an environment adapted to the ever-increasing needs of the lifestyle, so the most important thing in them is the maximum functionality that ensures that the furniture works correctly and for a long time. The second most important criterion to consider is aesthetics.
D.Stabulniece also draws attention to the fact that the “fast fashion” trend, which has been very popular for several years, is no longer so relevant. Today we look in a new direction: less is better.
Ecology has become increasingly important in recent years: “By choosing valuable natural raw materials, you will have a stylish interior that will not only last for a long time, but will also be environmentally friendly.”

How thoughtful should a premium interior be?
The interior designer also recommends taking into account the durability of the products used and choosing a design that will not go out of style after three or five years.
“However, this does not mean abandoning original ideas that can be expressed in a variety of colors and shapes. The most important thing to consider is whether a certain detail will be able to survive in the interior for a long time, for example, along with the general color palette.
In this case, so-called ‘design icons’ are considered a safer option, because they are carefully thought out and remain relevant for several decades, “says D. Stabulniece.

According to the designer, due to their good properties, premium products are easier to store and maintain for many years. Private interior items wear naturally on average over five years. After this period, they need additional care: dry cleaning or renovation. Usually such care is required for furniture and textiles made from natural materials, but once renovated, they continue to serve their best.
