“Chichanouskaya has appointed Harry Pohoniail, a well-known Belarusian lawyer and human rights defender, as its human rights representative. Alesis Aliachnovičius, an economist, has been appointed as representative of economic reforms,” the report said.
Pohoniaila has been a lawyer in many human rights cases in Belarus, including the cases of Belarusian journalists Pavel Sharamet and Dzmitry Zavadzki. He has been vice chairman of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee for more than two decades.
