The regime of Alexander Lukashenko of Belarus announced retaliatory sanctions against Baltic citizens on Tuesday.

Complemented by the comment of President G. Nausda.

It is difficult to comment on the illogical and emotional gestures of our neighboring Baltic countries, sometimes on the verge of hysteria. Iplt will crack down on sanctions … As of today, as an adjunct, we are also applying retaliatory symmetric restrictive measures for each country, said Interfax news agent Anatoly Hlaz, representative of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

Exactly who will be involved in the sanctions announced by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry has yet to be announced.

However, when introducing the sanctions, the representative of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs addressed the critic of Lithuanian Foreign Minister Lin Linkevii.

Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia extended sanctions on Friday against members of the Belarusian regime responsible for electoral fraud and violence against peaceful protesters.

Lithuania and Estonia have announced the hiring of 98 officers, Latvia 101 personnel and legal and force personnel.

L. Linkeviius told BNS that the new round of sanctions was motivated by the delay of the European Union in imposing joint sanctions and the inauguration of A. Lukashenko yesterday, which was not recognized yesterday.

French President Emmanuel Macron, in Vilnius alone, said he supported sanctions against the Belarusian regime and met with Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Cichanouskaya. The next European Council, scheduled for October 1-2, will also discuss the issue.

V recalls that the EU sanctions on Belarus are blocked by Cyprus, linking them with sanctions against Turkey. Cyprus is concerned about Turkey’s ongoing gas consumption work in the eastern Mediterranean.

At the end of August, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia imposed sanctions on A. Lukashenko and several other decades.

G. Nausda: EU decisions are mature

President Gitan Nausda says that a response to the Belarusian sanctions could have been expected, because all the rhetoric of the regime was militant and aggressive from the start.

This was surely to be expected, because all the rhetoric in the rhyme was militant, aggressive from the start. We imposed sanctions only when it became clear that normal hunting became invisible, on Tuesday for journalists in the Jonava district, Rukla, says G. Nausda.

The Lithuanian leader also stated that Belarus’ decision to announce retaliatory sanctions against citizens of the Baltic states would not stop the European Union’s efforts to impose sanctions on the regime.

There is retaliation to show that we also have the tools, they lead, let them do it. We will not thwart this, much less prevent the European Union from making decisions that are mature, paymjo President.

According to G. Nausda, if the EU sanctions are not imposed on Belarus, the credibility, image and confidence of the European Union as a power capable of solving geopolitical problems will be significantly reduced.
