Chromebook availability is limited at best outside of the United States. Therefore, it always gives me a feeling of satisfaction when I can share a list of products for a good Chromebook that is available for our Chromies in other parts of the world. While we anticipate that Lenovo’s Chromebook Duet tablet will reach a wide range of markets worldwide, it now appears that the rugged variant of the popular tablet is available in the UK and is priced to move.
Here in the United States, the Duet’s robust brother sells for $ 269, but you can get one for $ 239 on Lenovo’s website right now. However, it doesn’t come with the keyboard, and to my knowledge there is currently no place to buy one. In the UK, external reseller Ballicom has the Chromebook 10e listed for £ 212 before VAT and INCLUDES keyboard without trackpad. That’s about $ 261 USD, which makes it a great deal, especially when considering Chromebook prices in the UK are typically quite inflated. Gary N. sent me this listing, who said Ballicom Standard Shipping placed his new Lenovo tablet in his hands in just one business day. It’s not bad at all. I know a lot of people are hoping to have the Duet in their hands, but trust me, for the little ones or perhaps traveling employees, the robust 10e is a great option. If it’s on the other side of the pond, you can find the Ballicom list at the following link.
