The LeBron James family currently does not have the Lakers superstar. But James’ son Bryce has made sure they still have a piece of him.
The 13-year-old boy made a hilarious impression of James, who He is trying to lead the Lakers to their first championship since 2010 during the NBA season restart at Walt Disney World near Orlando.
In the video, Bryce alters his voice and calls himself “The One. The King. The King of Cleveland.” She then asks her brother Bronny how tall he is and the 15-year-old responds that he is 6 ft 2 while laughing hysterically. Bryce added, “You were probably 6-11 when you came out of the womb. My son. Yes sir.”
James’ wife Savannah posted the video on Instagram and wrote, “I am literally crying.” James republished the video, adding 29 emojis of a laughing face until he cries.
After the NBA season was halted on March 11 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, James said the silver lining of the four-month hiatus was spending so much time with his family.
“I can train with my children,” James said in a conference call on April 8. “I can have tea and color with my daughter. I can be with my wife one day – today, every day.”
The Lakers flew to Orlando on July 9 to resume the season. NBA players who are part of the 22-team reboot will be away from their families for at least the first round of the playoffs, meaning they will be separated from them for nearly two months.
On the morning of July 9, James acknowledged that he felt very torn.
“I just left the crib to head for the bubble,” James tweeted. “Y — I felt like I was heading to make an offer, man! Father hated to leave #JamesGang.”
James will compete for his fourth NBA championship with the Lakers, who are at the top of the Western Conference with a 49-14 record.
