6:20 PM PT – Lebron James and all of his Lakers teammates participated in the kneeling demonstration during the anthem before they reported against the LA Clippers.
The Clippers also got down on their knees … along with all the coaches, employees and umpires working in the game.
4:44 PM PT – NBA commish Adam Silver He is addressing both teams’ decision to kneel before the game, saying they will face no punishment for the gesture.
“I respect the unified act of peaceful protest by our teams for social justice and, in these unique circumstances, I will not enforce our long-standing rule that requires us to remain during the execution of our national anthem.”

Powerful moment since the NBA restart, where every player in the New Orleans Pelicans and Utah Jazz He knelt in solidarity during the national anthem.
It was a great statement Thursday night in the first official game of the NBA reboot, which was realized in the bubble environment at Walt Disney World in Orlando.
It seems that every coach and referee in the building also knelt down alongside stars like Rudy gobert, Lonzo ball, Zion Williamson and Donovan Mitchell.
All players were wearing “Black Lives Matter” jerseys and stood behind BLM art on the center court.
The hymn was performed by a musician. Jon Batiste – an instrumental performance with heavy elements of guitar and piano.
The players were arm in arm during the anthem; some players raised their fists.
After the hymn Shaquille O’Neal He praised everyone involved, saying that kneeling was “beautifully done in unity, pleasant to watch.”
He added: “We have to keep fighting, continue the movement … now we have to go vote.”
Charles Barkley He also chimed in … saying, “If people don’t kneel, they’re not bad people. I want to make that clear.”
Barkley added that if a person chooses not to kneel, “they should not be reviled.”
Of course, the kneeling motion was initiated by Colin Kaepernick who says that the objective of the demonstration is to highlight police brutality and social injustice.
The NBA allowed players to replace their names on the back of their jerseys with social justice messages.
Sion’s jersey says “Peace”. Lonzo Ball’s says “Equality”. Brandon Ingramit says “Freedom”. Mike Conleysays “I am a man”.
