The court said the US sanctions on Iran violate Washington’s commitment to the 1955 friendship agreement between the two countries.

Tensions have risen dramatically between Tehran and Washington since the Trump administration reimposed sanctions, which Tehran condemns for their deleterious effects on its economy.
These sanctions include restrictions on financial transactions, importation of raw materials, and measures to sanction purchases in the automotive and commercial aviation sectors.
