Yellow powder terrorizes North Korea … a disaster from China!

North Korea has warned its citizens not to leave their homes, saying the seasonal yellow dust blowing from China can transmit the new Corona virus to the country.

North Korea’s official newspaper Rodong Sinmun stated on Thursday, “With the continued spread of coronavirus infections around the world, the need to deal with yellow dust and take comprehensive measures is more important.”

There appears to be no evidence to support the claim that the virus that causes Covid-19 disease could spread to North Korea from the Gobi desert, 1,900 km away.

The common measure of social distancing is two meters, although the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says that droplets containing the virus can linger in the air for a few hours.

The North Korean newspaper said citizens should refrain from outdoor activities and should follow prevention guidelines, such as wearing masks when going out.

North Korea has not recorded any confirmed cases of the coronavirus, which health experts question.

Pyongyang has tightened border restrictions and quarantine measures to prevent the spread of the disease.

Analysts say the outbreak could be devastating for the economically and politically isolated country, “KRT” station said. State television on Wednesday said fine, yellow dust may contain harmful substances, such as heavy metals and microorganisms that cause disease, including viruses.
