The German government announced on Sunday that it had recovered 3 women and 12 children for “humanitarian reasons” from northeastern Syria, who were in ISIS camps.

The German minister explained that some children are sick, and that “this happy news coinciding with birthdays gives us confidence that we will be able to recover more similar cases” in the coming weeks and months.
