“Whispers” from London to Beirut … in support of the theater

Under the title “Whispers” (produced by Josiane Paul / Beirut and Agatha Ezzedine / London), Lebanese director Lina Abyad will present an electronic presentation that will be broadcast live on YouTube on November 7, with the aim of raising funds to support to the theater industry in Beirut that has destroyed The Aug. 4 bombing is a big part of it. In the introductory text of the event, the organizers explain that the regions of Gemayzeh, Mar Mikhael and Ashrafieh, which were severely affected by the disaster, were an embrace of many theaters and cultural spaces in the Lebanese capital. With hundreds of thousands of dollars in theater damage, “the theater scene in Beirut is in a deplorable state. Additionally, many talented theater directors, producers and actors face significant financial difficulties and personal losses due to the bombing and may have to reduce their artistic contribution due to their current circumstances.
