Your place is leaving … a phrase that sums up the state of programming in Lebanese seasons from last fall to the current fall and winter. After the start of the fall programming was hampered last year due to protests, obstacles remain on the way to launching projects this season. The channels are in a state of confusion due to the economic situation and the decline in the advertising market, in addition to the lack of political support. Thus, the current fall programming was not born naturally, but ran into problems that led to its timid presence on the screen. The broadcasters kept their basic programs, such as politicians, which are considered their backbone, while they froze the artistic and entertainment programs, since political and economic conditions do not allow it, nor the viewer’s mood. In this context, “Al Jadeed” launched its programming yesterday, with Tony Khalife, who presented a new season of “Tony Khalifa”, as well as the Wissam Saad, known as “Abu Talal” for his program “Amshan Show” (Monday to Thursday after the evening news). The television work is satirical (three minutes long), which Saad appeared in several seasons, and encountered various problems, notably masculinity, in dealing with some of the social problems it raised. For his part, Nishan will appear tomorrow Wednesday in his program “I am the devil”, which welcomes Michel Hayek in its first episode. The meeting is titled “A Dialogue of Another Kind,” in which Hayek seeks to reveal his personal side. For its part, a source from the “Al-Manar” channel told “Al-Akhbar” that the station began programming it at the beginning of this year, specifically last September. And that programming consisted of repeating some of the works that had already been presented, in addition to projects that will be prepared soon. The source explained that the channel is preparing to launch the program “Ishraqat”, which will be hosted by Eugena Dhini. The channel continues to show “Conflict Lines” by Ali Akbar Jouni, “Adhaat” by Muhammad Nayef, “Panorama of Today” by Manar Sabbagh and “Talk of the Hour” by Imad Marmel.

Ultimately, the Lebanese channels did not break the wall of silence with Al-Khareef’s programming, but preferred to rely on the competition with soap operas and some political paragraphs.
