A video recording of an interview with pop star Ramy Ayyash was posted on social media sites.
In the interview shown on the German channel “DW”, Ayyash answers one of the questions saying that he does not care about the marriage of girls under 18 years of age.
Ayyash said she opposes imposing a law criminalizing the marriage of girls under the age of 18, considering that some 16-year-old girls are conscious enough, especially today.
When asked about the effect of marriage on the physical formation of underage girls, Ayyash said, “So the problem is different.”
After the video was broadcast, Ayyash was attacked on social media, where activists confirmed that the minors are not conscious enough to start the marriage.
