The General Directorate of the Internal Security Forces issued a statement that “Based on information available to the Office of Financial Crimes and Money Laundering of the Judicial Police Unit, about people who imitated two recognized brands of instant coffee products in a warehouse in the town of Zebdine – Nabatiyeh, a force of the aforementioned office raided the warehouse on 02/10/2020. Where he arrested / 10 / people who worked in counterfeiting and imitation of the product, and confiscated / 13 / modern machines imported from abroad, used in the processes of mixing adulterated materials, packaging them in envelopes and then gluing them, and other printing machines the expiration date on the bags by laser method, and other forging machines. In addition, large quantities of counterfeit producers were seized, ready for distribution, and the materials were withdrawn from markets where they were previously distributed from specific southern areas, the Bekaa, and the southern suburbs.

The agents also raided a second warehouse in the town of Ansar, where the counterfeit merchandise packaging process is taking place, and arrested three people involved, they are:

SUBWAY. S. (Born 1983, Lebanese)

The amount of fraudulent and counterfeit materials – seized – was estimated at two trucks. Items previously distributed in specific areas in the south, Bekaa and the southern suburbs were withdrawn.

The two warehouses were sealed with red wax, and the detainees, along with the seizures, were deposited before the competent Judicial Power, according to their indication.
