Today, Monday morning, the first Emirati commercial flight landed at Ben Gurion Airport, Israel, aboard the “Etihad” airlines, from Abu Dhabi.

A video clip showed the moment the Emirati plane arrived at the airport, with the flags of the Emirates and Israel at the top.

Another video clip monitored the departure of the plane’s crew, with Israeli flags.

In turn, Etihad Airways posted a tweet on its Twitter account, saying the plane landed “just the beginning”, waving in Arabic and Hebrew, “Peace and Shalom.”

In this context, the Israeli army spokesman, Avichai Adrai, said, through his Twitter account, that “the image is a thousand words long. The first commercial flight of an airline from the Gulf lands in Israel.”

He explained that “the plane belongs to the Abu Dhabi National Company,” Al-Ittihad “, and it arrived as part of the aviation relations agreement between the two countries.

In his second tweet, Adraei called the landing of the plane a “historic event” and said: “A commercial flight of the Emirati Etihad company lands in Israel. The flag of the United Arab Emirates flies alongside the Israeli flag, embodying the principles. of peace between the two countries “.

The flight came a day after the two parties agreed to allow 28 weekly commercial flights between Ben Gurion Airport, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, to be signed tomorrow, Tuesday, as a result of the peace treaty that was reached last September, under the auspices of Washington.

This comes after Israel and Bahrain signed memoranda of understanding in various fields on Sunday, “establishing fruitful bilateral cooperation with the State of Israel,” according to Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdul Latif Al-Zayani.
