Video and photos: cockroaches sweep a Lebanese city

The videos were released on social media yesterday, Thursday, and show a large number of insects and roaches invading the city of Arsal, which is located on the border between Lebanon and Syria.

Swarms of insects and cockroaches invaded the city of Arsal and the camps for displaced Syrians there, and reached areas in Baalbek.

He called on interested families to act before the crisis worsened and the number of cockroaches and insects multiplied.

These insects are called “calisoma” and they move at night because they are attracted to lights, are beneficial to nature and have limited transmission.

And the reason for the appearance of insects and cockroaches is likely to increase in temperatures, which reached more than 30 degrees Celsius.

This insect is the same one that appeared last year, and lives below ground in winter and comes out in residential areas in summer and is non-toxic and beneficial for agriculture.

Pesticides do not affect these insects, but can even drug and paralyze them for a short time, but to no avail, so there is no need to control them and waste time and money.
