On the other hand, Maduro announced his support for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s idea of holding a virtual conference for countries interested in cooperating in the production of vaccines against the emerging coronavirus.
“I agree with President Putin’s proposal to hold an international conference on Corona vaccines … Venezuela joins the invitation to the United Nations General Assembly to discuss the issue of producing a Corona vaccine,” he said in an interview. with national television broadcast on the presidential site Twitter.
Notably, Russia registered the world’s first vaccine against the Corona virus last August, and the vaccine was developed at the Gamali Scientific Research Center and its production is supervised by the Russian Fund for Direct Investment.
