As part of the US Justice Department investigation into Hunter’s tax cases, the son of US President-elect Joe Biden has requested information about his ties to the Ukrainian gas company Burisma and “20 other organizations.”
The Associated Press reported, citing a source familiar with the investigation, that it was unclear whether Hunter Biden’s work at the Ukrainian company was central to the investigation, or whether the Justice Ministry was studying information on all sources of his income in the last years.
As part of the investigation, the agency said, the US Justice Department also requested documents about Hunter’s business relationship with China and “other financial transactions.”
The agency quoted other sources as saying that the investigation that began in 2018 also included possible money laundering offenses at some point.
Earlier, Joe Biden’s son (Hunter Biden) said that Delaware authorities had opened an investigation with him about the taxes he paid, while Joe Biden, who was elected based on preliminary results as president of the United States, expressed his support your child.
“Fox News” said that Biden’s son’s business relationship with China is part of the investigation into Hunter’s financial activities.
