On Sunday, the UAE Cabinet approved an agreement with Israel on mutual exemption of citizens of the two countries from entry visa requirements, which is one of the agreements between the UAE governments and Israel following the normalization of relations between them.
According to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the agreement allows citizens of the UAE to travel to Israel without the need for a prior visa and for a maximum period of 90 days per visit. An Emirati delegation signed the agreement during a visit to Israel on October 20, as part of agreements to support cooperation in the fields of investment, tourism, banking and technology services.
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Cultural Affairs and Public Diplomacy, Omar Saif Ghobash, said that the agreement allows Emirati passport holders to enter the territory of the State of Israel without a prior visa, considering that this reflects the desire of the two countries to strengthen their relationship and open new horizons for cooperation in the region.
“The mutual exemption of prior visas will have multiple positive effects on the tourism, trade, investment and other sectors, and will strengthen the ties of joint cooperation between the two countries,” Ghobash added.
