The Governor of Mount Lebanon, Judge Muhammad Makkawi, issued two decisions, the first with the number 353/2020, which stipulated the extension of the decision of emergency measures related to limiting the spread of the Corona virus in the city of Baysour – district of Aley, stating:
“The Governor of Mount Lebanon, based on Decree No. 2075 of 12/20/2017 (Appointment of the Governor)
Based on Legislative Decree No. 59/166 of 12/6/1959
Based on Circular No. 13210 of 08/12/2020 issued by the Ministry of the Interior and Municipalities to take emergency measures related to limiting the spread of the Coronavirus, and based on Decision No. Bayssour district of Aley, based on the deposit of the mayor of the district of Aley, which includes the letter from the mayor of Bayssour requesting the extension of the aforementioned decision for a period of one week, and in view of the epidemiological reality that still continues and based on the data doctors showing the high number of injured in the Corona epidemic in the city of Baysour and based on the requirements. Health and Public Safety, decides the following:
Article 1: The work of the decision of emergency measures related to limiting the spread of the Corona epidemic in the town of Bayssour will be extended for an additional week from its date, and the emphasis on activating and implementing the measures and procedures imposed by the aforementioned decision during the extension period, in addition to maintaining the economic activities covered by the closure except for schools and universities. Officials and private (they must adhere to the decisions issued by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education), provided that the decision is made to normalize the situation in accordance with medical data and the degree of commitment of the public with preventive measures and public security.
Article Two: The security forces and municipal police are instructed to strictly enforce this decision and repress violations, especially the violation of the mandatory decision to wear a muzzle and organize acts against offenders in accordance with current legal and regulatory principles. .
Third Article: The Internal Security Forces will be assigned to coordinate with the municipality of Bayssour to implement the content of this decision and organize a search in accordance with the rules.
Article 4: This decision will enter into force as of its issuance. “
The second decision
The second decision, which carried the No. 354/2020, which stipulates the extension of the decision of emergency measures related to limiting the spread of the Coronavirus in the city of Aley – Aley district, stated the following:
