A cozy bed, a communication room, a chandelier on the dining table, a desk equipped with modern communication technologies and a reception room for the elderly.

These are the most prominent features of the presidential suite that US President Donald Trump resides in to receive treatment for the “Corona” virus, isolated from the people. Images of the room were posted on “Twitter” to indicate the splendor of the place where former President Ronald Reagan preceded him after an assassination attempt in 1985, and the hospital has a good reputation as the best military surgical hospital in its class.

On Friday, Trump moved to the Walter Reed Military Medical Center, where he is receiving treatment for COVID-19 and some of the best doctors in the country are serving.

Trump resides in the hospital’s designated presidential suite, a luxurious part of one of its 88 buildings. Trump continues to carry out his presidential duties from a glass-lit dining room, an office steps from the hospital bed and rooms equipped with sofas to receive visitors, in addition to all the technologies and security measures.

Trump said in a video clip Saturday night that he was feeling much better after arriving at the hospital, thanking the hospital staff: “Everyone is doing everything they can to get back to the White House quickly.”

The hospital has set up a special wing for visitors from the highest positions, since it caters to the leaders of the nation, and the president and vice president generally undergo treatment in the medical evaluation and treatment unit, which is a private unit, safe and separate from other hospital rooms.
“The wing is specially equipped with protective devices and communications equipment to support the president,” said Marine Corps Major General Connie Mariano, who was the physician to former Presidents George HW Bush and Bill Clinton, and was director of the White House Medical Unit.

The hospital is located approximately 15 kilometers from the White House and has a total capacity of 244 beds and 50 intensive care units. It also contains 165 “smart rooms”, equipped with communication devices, audiovisual and wireless capabilities, as well as entertainment facilities.
