The death of Maradona shook the legend of Argentine and world soccer, and millions of people mourned him, as well as sports figures, international clubs and sports federations.
And the Argentine presidency declared the country’s public mourning for 3 days after the death of Maradona, who led Argentina to the 1986 World Cup.
Maradona died of a heart attack on Wednesday at the age of 60, after undergoing surgery to remove a bruise in his brain earlier this month.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the European League and Europa League stadiums will witness a minute of silence in memory of the former Barcelona, Napoli and Boca Juniors player.
His former club Barcelona mourned him, in a statement, and shed light on his football career since he was a child playing football in the streets of Lanús, a town near the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires.

The life of the Argentine star was marked by many health problems, some of which almost claimed his life.
Maradona left the hospital on November 11 and was transferred to a rehab center for treatment for alcohol addiction.
In 2000, Maradona suffered a heart attack after a drug overdose in the coastal city of Punta del Este. Then he was subjected to a long treatment in Cuba.
And in 2004, when he weighed more than 100 kilograms, he suffered another heart attack in Buenos Aires, but he survived. He then underwent stomach surgery that allowed him to lose 50 kg of weight.
In 2007, his excessive alcohol consumption led to his hospitalization.
