There are questions raised by the scientific community that remain. answering about the effectiveness of the vaccine to prevent serious diseases or to prevent infections, etc. But it is clear that it is an important event to control the epidemic, which is what we need in Lebanon.
“But the vaccine will only be available in the second quarter of next year at best, while the epidemic is getting worse,” he added.
Al-Abyadh emphasized that we all see that deaths are not limited to the elderly with chronic diseases, but rather to the young and middle-aged, and include the rich and the poor, and even doctors or nurses did not provide, as current rate, 10 deaths per day, which is 300 per month, or 1800. In six months until the vaccine is available, which is a high price.
He said: “Despite the difficult economic situation, the general closure for only two weeks is the weakest faith and the least necessary. If we take into account the numbers, the prevalence rate must be reduced and the pressure on hospitals and staff exhausted doctor must be reduced.
