The vice president of the Lebanon Bakers and Ovens Owners Union, Ali Ibrahim, announced that the bakeries will start from tomorrow, Monday morning to implement the agreement reached with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and increase the weight of a package of bread. 100 grams to 1000 grams instead of 900 grams.

“The bakeries are committed to this agreement for a period of 62 days, starting on Monday, September 21,” he emphasized.
He called on all bakeries to “abide by this agreement despite the difficulties faced by some of the bakery owners in obtaining yeast and sugar at the subsidized price, which will cause them economic losses during this period.”
Ibrahim stressed that the Ministry of Economy and Trade “will work to support that yeast and sugar reach all bakeries in order to facilitate the implementation of the agreement.”
