The Israeli army released images from the headquarters of the 7th Division of the Syrian Regime Forces, showing the damage it suffered as a result of a raid carried out by Israeli fighters in response to the placement of three explosive devices in the area under Israeli control on the Golan Heights.

An Israeli source told Al-Hurra that “the office of the division commander, Akram Hawija, was personally attacked, saying that he was cooperating with Iran and militias loyal to him to carry out attacks against Israel.”

The source emphasized that “Iran is taking advantage of the poor living conditions of Syrians in southern Syria and in the Jabal Horan region in particular to recruit fighters.”

He added that “Israel is ready to provide the necessary assistance through international organizations such as the Red Cross or the UN forces in the Golan.”

Regarding the tension on the northern front, the source emphasized that “the state of alert is focused on the Golan region, and Hezbollah is not expected to respond to yesterday’s Israeli army incursion.”

The Israeli army installed batteries for the Iron Dome system to intercept the missiles in the northern region, in anticipation of any attack.

On Wednesday night, Israeli warplanes launched raids against military targets belonging to the Iranian Quds Force and the Syrian regime army, targeting warehouses, command barracks and military complexes, in addition to surface-to-air batteries, according to the spokesman for the Israeli army.

Images broadcast by the Israeli army showed the sites of improvised explosive device placement on the Israel-Syria border, while military vehicles are shown working to secure these land borders, as well as bulldozers working to clear the planted mines.
