The Strong Lebanon Bloc held its periodic meeting headed electronically by Representative Gebran Bassil and issued the following statement:
The bloc asks the designated prime minister to return to the spirit of the letter and the text of the constitution in the process of forming the government that the Lebanese people need in the most difficult stage of Lebanon, economically, financially and healthily.
The bloc considers that the positions issued by the designated president constitute a retrogression to the National Charter and to the balanced political partnership, a reference to the issue of the number, regardless of how it is encapsulated, reflects an intention to aspire to the Christians to parity and remind them that parity is a formality and not a real one, which explains the discourse that the designated president has the power to form a government while the role is limited The president of the republic to issue the formation decree or abstain from doing so.
The strong Lebanese bloc, which wants to form a reformist and balanced government as soon as possible and made up of capable specialists, places the Lebanese people in the box of truth and wonders if it is time to constitutionally marginalize the President of the Republic and? What represented in the process of forming the executive authority that serves the unity of Lebanon and serves the Lebanese eager for a government that dissolves cumulative crises?
The bloc affirms that it has provided everything possible to facilitate the process of government formation to the point of non-participation, and every accusation to the President of the Republic that he wants the third-party obstructor, although nothing even prevents it except the idea of A government of specialists, it is a false accusation behind him who wants to practice the policy of exclusion and return to a time that was includes the president of the republic, the oppressed and weak partner on the ladder of power. This time is gone forever, if the intention of association is present, the solution is available immediately, but if the exclusion process continues, then there are those who want the crisis to continue for unknown purposes.
The bloc also discussed various laws to work towards their approval in the House of Representatives, and discussed a bill to phase out subsidies for some goods in exchange for support for Lebanese in need. And it was decided to form a delegation to visit some embassies and deliver a letter to them on the subject of forensic audit and recover the funds looted, talented and transferred abroad.
