Pompeo added: “We have worked with the United Arab Emirates on various issues, including deterring the Iranian threat, the conflict in Yemen and the Gulf crisis.”
The US minister added that the two sides would also discuss ways to deal with the threat from the “malicious Chinese Communist Party.”
For his part, UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed said: “His country joined the US efforts to combat terrorism after the events of September 11.”
Bin Zayed added: “Everyone should redouble their efforts to combat extremism.”
Bin Zayed said: “The two sides would like to see more jobs in America and achieve more together.”

The United Arab Emirates is the United States’ third most important trading partner in the Middle East and North Africa.
Previously, the United Arab Emirates and Israel signed a US-brokered peace treaty as part of the Ibrahim Agreement, which Bahrain also joined.
In this dialogue, the two parties will discuss various files related to political and security cooperation, the fight against terrorism, the economy, energy and academic cooperation.
