Hassan explained that “the meeting aims to follow up on the efforts that have been made during the last week, either in terms of urging warehouses and agents to distribute medicines or in terms of rationalizing control over some importers and warehouses” . He said: “The participation of the three captains in the meeting aims to preserve the interconnected and responsible chain that ensures that the pharmacist who receives the medicine in a fair way, delivers it to the patient with equity. On pharmacies in a very scarce or unfair way ”, and highlighted that“ a monitoring mechanism will be implemented that allows knowing the quantities sent and how they are delivered and distributed through the use of the barcode, so that the medicines and pharmacies that were dispensed from them ”.

Hassan declared that “the quantity of medicines in the warehouse is sufficient for a period that oscillates between two and three months”, and asked “to rationalize the distribution of these quantities in a way that ensures the needs of the people until the end of the year, always that work begins to secure an additional amount sufficient for three new months with the money that is still available. ” At the Banque du Liban, in parallel with the Ministry of Public Health, continuing the scrutiny and monitoring.

Hassan confirmed: “There is a problem at this stage due to the delay in transactions at the Bank of Lebanon and what is stipulated in the circulars issued by the bank regarding ensuring the payment of cash.” “.
